"The Lodge", Ballencrieff Fishery

Ballencrieff Fishery is situated at Ballencrieff Toll near Bathgate and has 2 reservoirs, the four acre RoAn Loch and the two acre Helee Pond. Both were formerly used to feed Ballencrieff and parts of Bathgate.

The Fishery sits near Cairnpapple Hill and is approx 1000 ft above sea level; it has outstanding views extending, on a clear day, to Ben Lomond and the Pentland Hills. The water is fed from two burns off the hills and has an excellent PH level, and the water quality and clarity is second to none. Everyone that has fishing at heart will enjoy the fishery and we will strive to make it a wonderful environment for the fly angler.

Our Mission
To produce and sustain a fishing environment that will be perceived as exclusive and one of central Scotland’s premier sites for fishing and overall experience. The fishery will achieve success by way of reputation, as a place of character and fishing excellence.

The Fishery is fly fishing only and can cater for 48 anglers at a time. Ballencrieff is stocked regularly with rainbow and brown trout ranging from 2lbs to 20 lbs. The water has deep pockets, sandy shallows, islands, great natural feed and steep and shallow banks all of which allow for amazing fishing.

Corporate clients and Angling Clubs are more than welcome and are invited to get in touch with us to discuss an individual package to suit your needs.
